The FanDuel Company has been appointed as the official Sports Betting, Casino and Horse Racing Partner for the Sal Iacono (Cousin Sal) and Mush Media sports gaming amateurs. The collaboration follows the launch of the new website and podcast network of Cousin Sal, Extra Points, focusing on three of his favourite topics: sports, sports betting and comedy.
FanDuel will be Extra Points and Against All Odds’ presenting sponsor and exclusive sports betting partner and odds supplier, a famous show formerly on The Ringer. This is in addition to offering sponsor designations as part of the arrangement with three new podcasts that are launching this week.
These include Waiver Wired, a fantasy-oriented show hosted by Jerry Ferrara and Jen Piacenti; Minus Three, focusing on northeastern sports, featuring Dave Dameshek and Geoff Schwartz; and the Lemon Pepper Parlay Podcast, based on Midwest teams hosted by Rob Parker and T.J. Hummandzadeh.
The sportsbook operator will also cooperate with Cousin Sal on the original material for use across the platforms of FanDuel and Cousin Sal.
FanDuel Group, CMO Mike Raffensperger commented: “This exciting collaboration is part of our continued efforts to expand FanDuel’s reach through authentic content partnership. Sal is a fun, unique content creator who brings a light touch and comedic perspective to the sports gambling market.
“He has built a large and loyal following as a trusted voice in sports and sports betting for over a decade, which has translated into an exciting new media venture that we are thrilled to be a founding partner of.”
Sal remarked: “From the time I was a very young boy, I always wanted my own promo code. What better way to achieve this goal than by partnering up with FanDuel, the gold standard in daily fantasy and sports gambling? I’m very excited to get started.”
First on the show of his real-life cousin, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Sal gained national attention as a writer and “Cousin Sal” personality. He has since become one of Fox Sports’ Fox Bet Live hosts and is featured on the Fox NFL Thursday Night Football Pregame weekly. He also appeared for more than a decade on the Bill Simmons Podcast for their gambling segment “Guess the Lines.”
