Rivers Casino Des Plaines has launched an expanded gaming floor and a new sports bar, with further developments expected to be completed in the middle of next year.
The joint venture between Churchill Downs Incorporated and Rush Street Gaming has added a new table game area to its BetRivers SportsBar on the casino floor.
In the Lotus cocktail lounge, located in the centre of the casino to watch sporting events, additional slot machines and table games were added throughout the facility along with new viewing screens. A maximum of 115 slot machines and eight table games have resulted in this expansion process.
In addition, Illinois ‘ first land-based casino has also opened its new BetRivers SportsBar 4,840 square foot, featuring a 47-foot-wide ultra-HD LED video wall and ten 86-inch and four 75-inch HD televisions all over the venue, giving patrons a panoramic view of live sports events.
A full service island bar with seating for 32, 26 bar-top video poker games, 32 leather lounge chairs and additional table seating options will also be available to the new entity.
The BetRivers SportsBar room has been planned to provide an “ultra-luxury viewing experience for Chicago’s sports fans looking for an engaging game-day experience,” and will ultimately be home to the sportsbook of the casino awaiting regulatory approval from the Illinois Gaming Board.
The renovation of the parking garage of Rivers Casino Des Plaines is scheduled to be complete by the summer of 2020.
“The BetRivers SportsBar will provide an experience that rivals a live game-day stadium,” said Corey Wise, general manager of Rivers Casino Des Plaines. “We will offer sports fans a premium luxury experience with great visuals, acoustics, service and comradery with fellow sports fans.”
