The Malta Gaming Authority has awarded online gaming software developer EvenBet Gaming a supplier licence allowing the company to significantly boost its international reach.
The licence, which covers the core poker product of EvenBet as well as casino and sports betting integrations, is hailed by the developer as “a huge milestone” as it sets an ambition to create its network of operators in the European market and beyond.
MGA-licensed operators will now have access to EvenBet’s poker platform, which includes a mini-games app offering hundreds of casino slots and games, as well as a sports betting function allowing players to wager on live sporting events in an online poker space.
EvenBet Gaming CEO Dmitry Starostenkov said of the licence approval: “We are delighted to have been awarded a supplier licence by the MGA in what is an important landmark in the history of EvenBet Gaming.
“Our new licence will help us significantly expand the reach of our services. In recent months, the popularity of online poker has grown exponentially and we’re well positioned to meet the demands of operators and players alike.”
According to Starostenkov, online poker has been a “lifesaver for sports betting operators,” since the site is seeing a huge increase in popularity and value in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
