DraftKings Partners With Athletes Unlimited For ‘Free-To-Play-Pool’

DraftKings has collaborated with Athletes Unlimited to provide a ‘free-to-play pool’ for the tournament organiser ‘s upcoming professional softball league for sportsbook and daily fantasy apps.

For the inaugural season with DraftKings, the agreement is expected to improve the fan experience by offering fans a free-to-play pool challenge in which fans answer eight questions about the upcoming weekend of Athletes Unlimited softball games.

Each challenge’s top 160 organisations will earn an equal share of a reward pool of $1,000 with $100 earned by the top finishers.

In addition, the questions will be based on the softball games next week, the scoring system, and team points predictions, as well as the MVP’s of the season. The challenge also allows viewers to gain a better understanding of the sport by looking at the rules of the game and its future fixtures as a result of the questions, thus sparking a general interest in the competition.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Athletes Unlimited softball games consist of double headers, with the tournament being screened on a mix of the CBS Sports Network, ESPN and the Olympic Channel. In addition, regional sports networks MSG Networks, NESN and Altitude will rebroadcast the fixtures as well.

The competition’s softball league started its inaugural season on August 29, 2020, with its games being held under COVID-19 rules and regulations at the Parkway Bank Sports Park Complex in Rosemont, IL.

The relationship continues to see DraftKings expand its brand into the sporting world to establish itself. In addition to its relationship with Athletes Unlimited, the organisation also entered into agreements this month with the New York Giants of the NFL and the Chicago Cubs of MLB in order to expand its ever-growing relationship portfolio.
