Next week, in conjunction with Hollywood Casino at Charlestown Races in West Virginia, DraftKings is continuing the roll-out of its Casino product range.
The launch includes the firm’s standalone mobile application Casino, and consumers will also be able to access DraftKings Casino via the mobile application DraftKings Sportsbook. The software includes licenced, virtual table games like Blackjack and Roulette.
The Mountain State now joins New Jersey and Pennsylvania as states where consumers can play on DraftKings Casino. West Virginians can now access the variety of games either directly through the DraftKings Casino app, or through the Sportsbook app where the Casino interface remains incorporated.
This new development caps a busy early July for the DFS and sportsbook operator that launched its standalone Pennsylvania Casino app last week as well as opening a temporary retail sportsbook facility at Mardi Gras Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado, in partnership with Twin River Worldwide Holdings.
The launch of its Casino product suite by DraftKings’ West Virginia comes as the State announced promising receipts from its sportsbooks from the period 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020. Although COVID took some of the shine off the overall numbers, the state still took $257.3 m in wagers, making a just over $19 m profit.
