DraftKings has become the NBA’s official sports betting provider in the new player-league deal signed in the US, as the two parties enter into a multi-year agreement beginning with the 2019-20 basketball season, offering DraftKings access to official NBA betting information.
This is the second sports partnership that the company has entered into in recent months, with DraftKings becoming the official daily fantasy sports partner of the NFL back in September.
In October, the NBA also agreed on a similar agreement on its own, signing a multi-year partnership with Tabcorp, which became Australia’s official sports betting operator.
Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings ‘ Chief Business Officer, said: “NBA games are among the world’s most captivating, exciting and widely consumed items for sport entertainment.
“The advocacy of the league around legal sports betting further demonstrates its consistent foresight to innovate for the betterment of the fan experience.”
Reports emerged last week that Diamond Eagle Acquisition is acquiring DraftKings in advanced talks.
