Crown Resorts Melbourne Gets Green Light

Crown Resorts has had permission to start running a small number of games and tables at Crown Melbourne with the gradual easing of the pandemic restrictions in the Australian state of Victoria.

Approval is subject to certain conditions, including the restriction of service to 10 designated VIP areas, each with a maximum capacity of 10 non-smoking customers, physical distance between customers.  It will see every second table game or electronic gaming machine in the venue switched off.

Guests are limited to 90 minutes of play  on a daily basis and each of the VIP areas must have a Covid marshal in place. Additionally, improved hygiene procedures must be in place. On Thursday, November 12, the operations will restart.

Said Ken Barton, CEO:  “We have been working for some time with the Victorian government and health authorities to determine how we can safely reopen Crown Melbourne and have developed extensive physical distancing and hygiene measures to allow reopening in a safe manner.”
