Coral has released the first podcast, All to Play For, created by social media publisher JOE to help its football markets and content.
Coral’s All to Play For podcast, which was launched this Thursday, is hosted as show anchor by comedian Tom Davies and former Premier League and England international Joe Cole.
In order to accommodate the widest audience, the podcast aims to combine expert perspectives offered by special guests with Coral market insights and humorous observations.
Coral launched the podcast in support of its latest marketing directive to create deeper content and engage sports viewers with brand narratives; an effort that saw the heritage bookmaker broadcast its new cinematic promotions for the Cheltenham Festival during 2020 and the start of a new season for the Premier League.
Head of Brand Marketing for Coral, Chris Brocklehurst, commented: “We’re excited to be working with the team at JOE Media on this partnership, and with an array of great talent in Tom Davis, Joe Cole and incredible guests who’ll join us each week.
“At Coral we share the huge passion that football fans have for the sport and are looking forward to taking this weekly dive into the action with them, from analysis of the big games through to the untold stories from the dressing room.”
The giant of the Premier League and Coral Ambassador, Alan Shearer, joined the podcast on Thursday’s launch show to look forward to international action and look back at his own career in England.
Coral announced that its marketing agency 7Stars will be handling the All to Play For podcast. In the meantime, JOE will post the podcast’s video highlights through its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, ensuring full content coverage.
Alastair Griffin, Planning Director at JOE Media added: “The launch of All To Play For comes at a time when we are witnessing a new age of original entertainment content.
“Consumers are now perfectly relaxed about the idea of getting their fix of football analysis via YouTube or on a podcast; gone are the days when we all tuned in to Match of The Day or Football Focus on the TV at the same time every week.”
