Circa Resort & Casino, the first resort casino constructed from the ground up in four decades in downtown Las Vegas, is now operational.
Via retro architecture, old-school hospitality and references to the heritage of the city while adding high-tech innovations and cutting-edge amenities, the 1.25 million square foot, adult-only property pays homage to Vegas’ Golden Era.
Crafted by developer and CEO Derek Stevens, Circa is one of the most ambitious projects in the 115-year history of downtown Vegas and the first resort casino in the city to be constructed from the ground up in four decades.
As the first adults-only resort in Vegas, it also features the world’s largest sportsbook with a 78-million-pixel screen visible to up to 1,000 people, the largest destination pool experience for sports fans in the country, accessible 365 days a year with a 14-million-pixel screen, food & beverage concepts by renowned chefs and restaurateurs from across the nation, the longest indoor bar in Nevada stretching 165 feet. It’s also Vegas’ first resort with a rideshare centre that is completely integrated.
Hours before the formal opening, to celebrate the first roll of the dice on Circa’s casino floor, Stevens held an intimate black-tie gala at the property for Vegas founding families and existing casino operators.
Stevens said: “For the past five years, the Circa team and our partners have been devoted to introducing a resort and casino experience that brings something totally new to Vegas, and in some cases, the country.
“I will be the first to admit that 2020 has not been easy, but this talented group persevered and has delivered on this vision, 8 weeks early. I’m incredibly proud to be putting 1,500 people to work and that our doors are finally open for all to visit Circa.”
Legacy Club, Circa’s 777-room hotel tower and rooftop lounge, will open on 28 December 2020 to mark the completion of the project. Visit circalasvegas.com for more detail.
