The appointment of Juergen Reutter as its new Chief Executive, effective immediately, has been confirmed by Cherry AB subsidiary ComeOn Group.
After the executive announced he will step down in Q3 of this year to explore projects outside of the igaming industry, Reutter replaced Lahcene Merzoug as CEO of ComeOn.
Reutter, a twenty-year industry executive, is the former founder and CEO of Addison Global, the defunct mobile sportsbook MoPlay operating company that was launched in 2017.
Lauded as a specialist in implementing igaming operator digital development strategies, Reutter also worked from 2014-2017 as CEO of the online division and operations director of William Hill.
Itai Frieberger, chairman of the ComeOn Group said: “We are pleased to announce Juergen’s appointment as the new CEO of the ComeOn Group.
“Juergen is bringing over 20 years of digital experience and a wealth of industry expertise to the organisation.”
Reutter would be responsible for continuing the strategic changes of ComeOn, which saw the online gaming affiliate Cherry AB drop all brands for the UK market in 2019, citing that the company will concentrate on more favourable jurisdictions.
In 2018, after the subsidiary had missed main growth goals following its full buyout in 2017, Cherry’s board ordered an urgent review of the ComeOn brand portfolio and strategy.
