CDI Signs Hannahville Indian Community Deal For Michigan BetAmerica Launch

Louisville, Kentucky, based Churchill Downs Incorporated has formed a agreement with Hannahville Indian Community to launch its BetAmerica sports betting and igaming app in Michigan.

Plans for BetAmerica, a wholly owned subsidiary of CDI, include the development of a retail sportsbook at the Island Resort and Casino property in Harris, Michigan, as well as an online sportsbook and igaming network that is accessible across Wolverine State, subject to gaming licences and regulatory approvals.

Kenneth Meshigaud, tribal chairperson for the Island Resort and Casino of the Hannahville Indian Community said: “We are incredibly excited about our new partnership with BetAmerica.

“The BetAmerica sportsbook will expand upon our already compelling number of entertainment options, and provides another great reason for people to come and visit us up here on Michigan’s beautiful upper peninsula.”

As a result of the agreement, residents of Michigan will be able to visit BetAmerica.com to place online bets on their favourite professional teams and wager on college sports and other major sporting events from around the world, subject to gaming licence and regulatory approvals.

The new deal marks a further expansion for CDI’s BetAmerica sportsbooks, with existing distribution distributed across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Mississippi.

“We are pleased to be able to offer sports fans throughout Michigan our innovative BetAmerica sportsbook and igaming product,” said Bill Mudd, COO of CDI.

“Guests of Island Resort and Casino as well as online players in the Michigan will be able to access sports betting, the best in online casino games and unique promotions through BetAmerica.”
