CampoBet was appointed Sweden’s official sponsor of the Champions Hockey League (CHL), after winning a three-year contract with one of the most watched ice hockey tournaments.
As a result of the deal, the logo for CampoBet will appear on Sweden’s rink boards and media backdrops during the 2020-21 season’s television broadcasts.
In addition, if any Swedish team advances to that stage, the betting operators branding will also appear on under-ice ads for the CHL round of 16. CampoBet branding is currently being highlighted in at least eight broadcast matches in Karlstad cities.
Boris Chaikin, CEO of platform CampoBet, said: “CampoBet’s immersive sportsbook has proved a hit with Swedish-based players since its entry to the market and sponsoring the internationally renowned Champions Hockey League tournament will help it continue to do so.
“We are delighted to be involved with one of hockey’s best-known competitions and look forward to tuning in to its eagerly awaited fixtures.”
This season’s team competing in the CHL includes Lulea HF (winners from 2014/2015), Skellefteå AIK, Färjestad Karlstad, Rögle Angelholm, and the new champions Frölunda Indians.
The sportsbook will include a variety of fan engagement opportunities during the European tournament, including givingaways, offering VIP tickets to attend games, and providing backstage passes.
Michael Witta, Vice President of Marketing Sales at Infront, added: “Sweden continues to be one of the most decorated nations in the CHL and its clubs have seen huge success in the competition. We are happy when brands like CampoBet can leverage that success and take full advantage of both the domestic and pan-European reach the CHL enjoys. We are excited to welcome them to the sponsorship roster.”
