A “history making move,” has been hailed by California’s Morongo Casino Resort and Spa as the gaming destination prepares to launch its cashless wagering scheme.
The venue has partnered with Marker Trax, which will operate through the Synkros casino management system of Konami Gaming, for a debut that Morongo claims will make it the first tribal casino in the nation to offer cashless casino slot markers.’
The objective is to allow guests to apply, get accepted, and start using their digital marker conveniently and safely, all in less than five minutes and electronically, rather than retrieving physical cash.
Those enrolled in a cashless wagering account with PIN-protected Synkros will play electronically on any slot or video poker machine in the casino using their Marker Trax credit line.
Richard St Jean, COO of Morongo Casino, said of the cashless launch: “We’re excited to be working with Marker Trax to introduce cashless wagering markers to our guests.
“The convenience and ease of Marker Trax will be a huge bonus for our players, and underscores Morongo’s history of embracing state-of-the-art technology to enhance our gaming experience. With Marker Trax, our guests can be approved for a gaming line and at the machine in minutes.”
Marker Trax will give Morongo access to data analytics and marker monitoring of its players, with the information accessible from any computer on the property. The method, together with Synkros, settles any remaining balance before payout when players decide to withdraw from their cashless wagering accounts.
Tom Jingoli, Executive vice president and chief operating officer at Konami Gaming said: “Morongo guests will be the first outside Nevada to enjoy Marker Trax cashless slot markers, thanks to the leadership of Richard St Jean and his team, Marker Trax’s strong launch success, and Synkros’ robust core environment.
“Konami’s Synkros casino management system is designed with the agility, data architecture, and integration capabilities to help deliver these types of collaborative tech opportunities to players and properties.”
Marker Trax is a proprietary cashless wagering technology that enables casinos to issue funds digitally and safely, with the process controlled digitally via the casino management system. Guests must first enrol in Morongo’s loyalty scheme prior to signing up for Marker Trax.
Charlie Skinner, COO of Marker Trax said: “We are looking forward to a successful launch at Morongo. The technology behind the product is truly unmatched by any other product in the casino industry today, and we could not be happier to be launching with the team at Morongo.”
