The addition of Canadian publishing magnate and former Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp Chairman Paul Godfrey to its Board of Directors with immediate effect has been reported by Bragg Gaming Group.

According to the company, as the government pushes ahead with its newly announced planned federal legalisation of single-event sports betting, Godfrey’s experience in the Canadian gaming industry will prove useful. In this evolving market, he will direct Bragg’s strategy.
Extensive media, gaming and sports experience
On the nomination, CEO Adam Arviv commented, saying: “Paul’s extensive experience in the media, gaming and sports worlds will be invaluable as we move forward with our rapid growth plans. We’re extremely pleased to have him join the championship team that we’re building and look forward to his guidance.”
A renowned business leader and Canadian politician
The Founder of Postmedia in 2010 was Godfrey, a renowned business leader and Canadian politician, who served as President and CEO of the Postmedia Network, where he continues to serve as Chairman.
He was also an involved participant in numerous professional sports organizations in Canada. As the former Toronto Blue Jays President and CEO, he was a part of the team that designed the SkyDome in Toronto, now known as the Rogers Centre.
He was a successful Canadian politician before his business career, serving as an alderman and, eventually, Chairman of Metropolitan Toronto.
