Frankie Dettori Jumps On Board Sporting Index As Brand Ambassador

Sporting Index has announced it has ‘onboarded’ its new brand ambassador, iconic champion jockey Frankie Dettori.

The colourful Italian, who has won 19 British Classics and is currently recognised as the ‘LONGINES – World’s best jockey,’ has joined the stable Sporting Index and will help promote the fixed odds betting markets launched in 2019 by the spreading betting company.

Sporting Index will see Dettori bear the company’s brand logo on its race day breeches and shirt, increasing its profile within racing.

Additionally, Dettori will deliver unique perspectives and opinions on the major racing meetings through the digital and social media channels of the Sporting Index, beginning with his personal account of the Royal Ascot Festival this June (16-20 June).

Simon Trim, Sporting Index CEO, said: “Frankie is the face of Flat racing, if not horse racing as a whole, so it’s hugely exciting to have him as a Sporting Index brand ambassador.

“Even though he has cost us plenty of money over the years, no-one has done more to promote the sport of horse racing and we couldn’t be happier to have him on board.”

Considered the most popular figurehead of horseracing, Dettori is no stranger to the promotion of bookmakers, having previously fronted a nationwide TV advertisement by Ladbrokes in the UK.

Dettori said: “I’m over the moon to be joining Sporting Index ahead of the new Flat season. There are some top-quality horses that I can’t wait to get on this year, and I look forward to telling readers all about them.

“I saw over the winter that Barry Geraghty had plenty of success with Sporting Index on his breeches, so hopefully it’s the same for me too!”
