SG Launching Contactless Gaming Technology

Scientific Games is launching a suite of contactless gaming technologies developed to help casino owners keep players and staff members safe while ensuring an exciting environment.

In order to promote a rapid response and create strategies that endorse improved hygiene policies and assist with social distancing initiatives in a post-COVID-19 environment , the organisation seeks to help visitors “re-imagine play” establishments.

Among the contactless solutions of the US gaming tech firm are the unified cashless wallet gaming experience, a social distance module and automated game sanitation.

Matt Wilson, executive vice president and gaming group chief executive noted: “Scientific Games has always been committed to innovation, but it is now more critical than ever to develop solutions that help our partners address and adapt to the new normal.

“Our suite of contactless gaming solutions enables our partners to deliver a new, yet fun and engaging gaming experience for their players all while keeping them safe. This advanced technology sets a new standard for the industry and is available for our partners now.”

Scientific Games’ unified wallet, taking a mobile-first approach, offers players the ability to instantly access funds to play slots and table games via an app on their mobile device.

The Social Distance module provides operators with three distinct functions, including adjustable distance, EGM scheduler, and resort and game reserve.

Such enhancements help to provide casino owners with ample incentives to conform to the appropriate security protocols currently needed by officials in the public safety and gaming industry.

Automated game sanitisation avoids the manual task of looking for games on the casino floor that need to be sanitised by automatically finding games that need such a task after successful play. Operators can also arrange daily periods for the sanitation.
