After establishing deals with seven teams across the National Basketball Association (NBA) and National Hockey League (NHL) ecosystems, global online gaming and betting brand Betway is looking to greatly grow its footprint in the United States.
The step reflects a “ever-growing commitment to sponsorship of the highest-profile teams in the highest-profile sports,” according to the company, which previously signed an exclusive brand licencing deal with Digital Gaming Corporation.
As a result of its alliance with DGC, the firm has acquired market access in a number of US states, where it plans to use the Betway name for online casino and sports betting.
The Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Clippers, and Golden State Warriors are among the NBA franchises for which the organisation has recently formed alliances.
Betway has also partnered with the four-time Stanley Cup Champions New York Islanders, as well as the Los Angeles Kings, to promote the company through in-game and other multimedia properties.
High profile sports
