BetVictor And BILD Form Strategic Brand Cooperation Launching BILDBet

BILD, Germany’s best-selling newspaper, has announced that Gibraltar bookmaker BetVictor has entered into a ‘strategic brand cooperation’ to launch ‘BILDBet’ for Germany’s re-regulated online gambling marketplace.

Axel Springer SE, the publishing company of BILD, released a corporate statement announcing that it had established its strategic alliance with BetVictor to obtain a German federal interstate sports betting licence.

BetVictor was named among the first fifteen online licences to be approved by the Darmstadt Regional Council this October, the Hesse-based organisation charged with managing the licencing procedures of the federally approved Interstate Treaty on Gambling.

The sixteen Länder (regional councils) of Germany agreed to establish a “transitional tolerance framework” from 15 October to allow licenced operators to launch their online casino and sportsbook services in compliance with the laws of the Interstate Treaty, which will be implemented from 1 July 2021.

BetVictor and Axel Springer, announcing their strategic partnership, plan to launch their ‘BILDBet’ property in December.

BILD is regarded as one of the top national news and sports newspapers in Europe, with a national readership of 2 million. Meanwhile, its news site,, earns an average of 200 million views every month.

In a statement Axel Springer detailed: “BILD is known for unique sports reporting and enthusiasm for sports. Through the collaboration with BetVictor, this shall now be expanded in the form of an attractive and user-friendly betting service.”
