BetMGM, FanDuel & DraftKings Issue Arizona Updates

BetMGM, FanDuel, and DraftKings have all issued updates on their current region of entry in Arizona, indicating that they are stepping up their efforts in the state.

To begin, the joint venture between MGM Resorts International and Entain has entered its 15th market where BetMGM’s mobile and internet products are available.

The Gila River Indian Community’s three Arizona locations, Wild Horse Pass, Lone Butte, and Vee Quiva, will have BetMGM sportsbooks, which are expected to open later this year.

In time for the 2022 NFL season, the company also wants to establish a sportsbook at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said: “We’re pleased to officially bring BetMGM’s mobile sports betting offering to fans in Arizona in time for football season.

Gila River Hotels & Casinos and the Arizona Cardinals,

“We’ve built strategic partnerships with Gila River Hotels & Casinos and the Arizona Cardinals, two key players in the state, enabling us to create one-of-a-kind experiences for our Arizona customers.”

In addition, FanDuel has chosen Casino Cash Trac to supply its cash management system at the company’s newest sportsbook facility, which is housed within the Footprint Center, the Phoenix Suns’ home arena.

The 7,400-square-foot location, which marks the group’s eleventh stage of offering mobile sports betting, has five betting windows, one VIP window, 40 HD televisions, a 35-foot video wall, an MVP Room, and 26 self-service betting kiosks.

Mike Raffensperger, CMO of FanDuel Group said: “The fans of Arizona are some of the most passionate in sports, and that was evident during the Suns incredible playoff run this year.

‘Absurdly fan-friendly experiences’

“Together, FanDuel and the Suns share a mission of delivering absurdly fan-friendly experiences to our customers and we are excited to offer sports betting in a way that revolutionises the live experience, and brings fans closer to the game.

“We are thankful to the Suns organization for their partnership and look forward to making our lounge in the Footprint Center one of the preeminent sportsbook locations in the entire country.”

Finally, DraftKings announced the introduction of its online sportsbook in the region, making it the 14th state where the service is offered.

As part of an expanded deal with the PGA Tour, the company unveiled plans for a retail sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale earlier this year.

Busiest and most exciting time of the year

Matt Kalish, co-founder and president of DraftKings North America said: “With the launch of our digital sportsbook coinciding with NFL kickoff, the busiest and most exciting time of the year for our company, we could not have imagined a better time to introduce Arizona’s sports fans to the DraftKings experience.

“We would also like to thank the PGA Tour, TPC Scottsdale, as well as Governor Doug Ducey and his team, Representative Jeff Weninger, Senator T.J. Shope, the Arizona state legislature, and the Arizona Department of Gaming for working together to further fan engagement across sports. We look forward to becoming the sportsbook of choice for Arizonans across the state.”
