BetMGM and the PGA Tour have reached an agreement that will see the former join the ‘Official Betting Operator’ system of the sports organisation.
The multi-year content and marketing partnership sees BetMGM earn the rights to use PGA Tour logos in the United States, as well as the right to advertise on tour outlets and affiliate channels.
In addition, BetMGM will also receive content and video rights enabling the sportsbook channels of the company to create pre-game and post-game betting programming, as well as to deliver videos to users who have placed bets.
Norb Gambuzza, PGA Tour senior vice president of media and gaming said: “BetMGM is part of a premium brand that is deeply connected to golf through sponsorship of various PGA Tour players and tournaments.
“Through the power of the BetMGM brand and resources, this new relationship will help accelerate our sports betting strategy, and enable the Tour to reach new fans and further engage current fans who enjoy betting on golf.”
BetMGM is officially allowed in seven states including Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Nevada and West Virginia for sports betting with expects to be in eleven states by the end of 2020.
In addition , the company also provides access to established sponsorship partnerships with many Pga Tour participants including Max Homa, Jimmy Walker, Kevin Na, Pat Perez, Ryan Moore, Joel Dahmen and Boo Weekley.
