BetMakers Technology Group, headquartered in Australia, has formed a new alliance with two Supreme Ventures subsidiaries, Prime Sports Jamaica (PSJ) and Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment (SVREL).
BetMaker has sealed the rights to handle fixed odds wagering for all fixed bets made on Jamaican and international horse race meets through SVREL’s networks through its BetMakers DNA (BDNA) and Managed Training Services (MTS) divisions.
BetMakers will also transmit data from marquee races at Jamaica’s flagship racing track, Caymanas Park, through its Global Racing Network, to international online operators.
Todd Buckingham, BetMakers Technology Group Managing Director said:
“We are excited to partner with Supreme Ventures and Caymanas Park to bring fixed odds betting on horse racing into Jamaica and to export the Caymanas Park race meetings through our Global Racing Network to the rest of the world.
“This new deal again highlights our business model and intentions to partner with regulated race tracks and licensed wagering operators across the world to help sustain and grow any region’s racing industry through a globalisation of racing using BetMakers’s data and technology platforms.”
In addition, BetMakers has signed a sponsorship agreement with SVREL that will ensure the wagering business secures a new training pavilion at Caymanas Park with exclusive naming and branding rights, as well as increased visibility at SVREL events.
The board of BetMakers said that while it can not “quantify the economic impact” of its new agreement, it expects the business deal to have a “material impact” on the profits of the firm.
Supreme Ventures Chairman, Gary Peart, said: “Supreme Ventures believes that the fixed odds innovation that BetMakers has championed in North America will deliver a huge benefit to the global racing industry as it competes against other sports in an increasingly competitive sports betting market.
“We are very proud to be one of the first tracks that will implement the sophisticated fixed odds system that BetMakers provides, and we see this new deal as a major transformational change for the Jamaican horse racing industry.”
