The Racing Post confirmed that Betfair sportsbook markets have been incorporated into its free iOS mobile app and mobile website, enabling readers to make direct bets on the horseracing and greyhound markets of Betfair.
The Racing Post app, branded as the most comprehensive tool for racing enthusiasts, offers daily racecards, results, expert tips, the latest breaking news and live race streaming.
The news is that Betfair is the sixth bookmaker partner to join Coral, Paddy Power, William Hill, Ladbrokes and bet365 in the Racing Post app.
Betfair customers can also place bets through the Racing Post desktop site and the addition of Betfair to the Racing Post product range shows the strength of the relationship between Racing Post and Flutter Entertainment, the parent group of Betfair, with consumers able to place a bet with Paddy Power across all Racing Post products.
The commercial director of Racing Post, Sam Houlding, commented on the launch: “We have a long and successful partnership with Flutter Entertainment in print, online and retail and are delighted that we continue to grow the ways in which we work together and add value to each other’s businesses.
“Our customers have been able to bet directly with Paddy Power for many years and we are excited for Betfair to join the ranks for our ever-growing mobile audience.
“We are constantly trying to improve the betting experience for our customers and are very pleased to be able to do this by offering them more choice in bookmakers through the release of Betfair Sportsbook.”
Rich Hayward, Betfair’s commercial director, also spoke about his excitement about the extension of the partnership: “We know the value of Racing Post and how it has been the cornerstone of the greyhound and horseracing betting industry for years,” he said. “Partnering with Racing Post’s mobile and desktop products broadens the options for both Betfair and Racing Post customers.
“We know that our customers continue to use mobile more and more and the Racing Post app provides a superb experience for those wishing to bet on horseracing and greyhounds.”
