Betano has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Fluminense FC of Rio de Janeiro, making it the company’s second in the Brasileiro Serie A.
The Kaizen Gaming operator will earn brand awareness on the front of Fluminense players’ shirts as part of the agreement, with the Betano emblem appearing on the team’s jerseys in the Brazilian Cup opener against Bragantino.
Brazilian market commitment
Panos Konstantopoulos, CMO of Kaizen Gaming, said: “This partnership marks our commitment in the Brazilian market. We look forward to seeing the Betano brand in the legendary Maracana which is home to the team. We will work along with the club to find ways to enhance our social responsibility plan in Brazil.”
Betano’s Brazilian marketing strategy is bolstered by this agreement, which comes after the company was named as Atletico Mineiro main sponsor in January, marking the company’s first commercial association with a sports team.
Olympiacos and PAOK of Greece, as well as Braga and Maritimo of Portugal’s top-flight Primeira Liga, are other sporting partners.
Kaizen, one of Greece’s leading sports betting and gaming organisations, operates under the Betano name in Germany, Romania, Portugal, and Brazil, as well as under the Stoixman name in Greece.
Claus Jansson, who joined the board in January, shortly after the company’s first sponsorship arrangement with Atletico Mineiro, is in charge of the company’s marketing efforts.
Fluminense President Mário Bittencourt commented on the club’s new partnership: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Betano as the team’s main sponsor.
“I am particularly happy that Betano understands the greatness of our club and I am sure that together we will celebrate many victories and distinctions. We welcome Betano to our family.”
