Major League Baseball (MLB) has designated Bally’s Corporation as an Authorized Gaming Operator as part of a multi-year deal between the two entities.
Following its recently confirmed deals with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA), this is Bally’s third sports betting partnership with a major sports league.
Bally’s will obtain immediate access to official MLB league and team marks, trademarks, and details under the terms of the deal, which it plans to incorporate into its growing range of sports betting items.
The company will also merge these assets with original programming produced for MLB audiences, which will be blended into live game coverage on 19 regional sports networks, including more than half of the league’s teams in the United States.
Exciting benefits for baseball fans nationwide
Bally’s Corporation President and CEO George Papanier said: “The agreement between Bally’s and MLB offers exciting benefits for baseball fans nationwide. We are honoured to have the opportunity to put the Bally’s stamp on America’s national pastime and look forward to providing an innovative and engaging sports betting experience. We can’t wait for the season to begin.”
The two sides would cooperate on best-in-class activities to protect the credibility of MLB games as part of the deal.
Unique avenue to engage with baseball
Kenny Gersh, MLB Executive Vice President, Gaming & New Business Ventures added: “As we prepare for the start of the 2021 season, working with Bally’s will present our fans with yet another unique avenue to engage with baseball.
“Bally’s knows how to provide added entertainment for sports fans across the country, so we look forward to collaborating on new ways of engaging fans around our games.”
Opening Day is set for April 1st, with all 30 teams expected to compete at any point during the day.
