For the monitoring of the Energie Burgenland tv State Championships, the Austrian Tennis Association has signed a two-year agreement with Sportradar Integrity Services.
Sportradar Integrity Services will provide bet monitoring and reporting through its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) for both the ladies’ and mens’ singles and doubles draws, as well as the tournament’s mixed doubles matches, as part of the agreement.
The UFDS is an advanced and reliable bet monitoring system that has been independently examined and confirmed by specialists in the field of sports betting and integrity. It is already in use by the Austrian Football Federation.
A global staff of experienced integrity specialists examines unusual betting patterns, with any questionable matches reported to partners, giving partners visibility into the global match-fixing environment.
Significant threat to fair sporting competition
The Austrian Tennis Association’s Managing Director, Thomas Schweda, stated: “We recognise that match-fixing and other associated integrity issues pose a significant threat to fair sporting competition.
“This agreement for Sportradar Integrity Services to monitor the ÖTV State Championships through their UFDS solution will give us valuable integrity protection, as their team will be able to alert us to any potential irregularities they may encounter.”
Over 600 suspect matches were spotted by Sportradar Integrity Services in 2020 alone, and over 6,000 suspicious matches have been recorded over the last 15 years.
Sportradar Integrity Services Managing Director, Andreas Krannich said: “We are delighted to welcome on board the Austrian Tennis Association as our newest tennis partner.
“At Sportradar, we are committed to helping our sporting partners detect and prevent manipulation, and to identify and mitigate all forms of integrity risk.
“Our dedicated team of integrity analysts who specialise in tennis will help to ensure that the ÖTV State Championships are put in the best place to succeed, and we look forward to a fair and exciting on-court experience the fans can enjoy.”
