Australian online casino slot provider Lightning Box has expanded its global scope after gaining the right to supply the British Columbia Lottery Company with it’s content.
The company has been authorised by the state’s Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch, meaning it can now provide the players in the lottery with its full catalogue.
Silver Lion slot by Lightning Box has been the first to go live this month, with Loto Quebec releasing its first games in Canada late last year with the deal extending its reach throughout North America.
The first title to go live as part of that deal was Lightning Horseman, which became the highest earner game of the Quebec state lottery in its first 24 hours.
Peter Causley, CEO and Lightning Box co-founder said: “We’re very happy to have been granted permission to supply BCLC as it marks another important step as we continue to grow the business and its reach.
“I’m sure our games, starting with Silver Lion, will be as popular with their audience as they have been among other players on the continent and around the world.”
Last month the BCLC gave a further six months to lottery players to claim ticket prizes having an expiry date between March 17, 2020 and September 17, 2020.
Players who buy lottery tickets for draw-based games typically have up to one year from the draw date to claim their prize, but this has now been extended due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
