After committing to a new 12-month relationship with Diego Schwartzman, AstroPay has added a professional tennis player to its roster of global ambassadors for the first time.
Schwartzman, who is off to a good start in this year’s Wimbledon event, will now wear an ASTROPAY-branded kit.
Mikael Lijtenstein, Astropay CEO said: “Schwartzman shows a desire to succeed that aligns with AstroPay values.
“We are really proud to be announcing our sponsorship of Schwartzman. It shows our strong commitment to athletes that stand out for their excellence, across the globe.”
He is also known as “El Peque” and is presently ranked 9th in the ATP Singles Rankings after winning four ATP singles titles. In October 2020, he attained his career-high singles ranking of world no. 8 for the first time.
On Monday, the Argentinian led Benoit Paire 6-3, 6-4 in the first set, then won the final set 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 over the French tennis star. Liam Broady will be his next opponent.
