Last Wednesday The American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions published a schedule for virtual offerings on the Global Gaming Expo. The programme, which takes place from 27 to 28 October 2020, includes keynotes, training workshops, business meetings and opportunities for networking. Following a kick-off session on 14 October 2020, the virtual platform will open for product development and schedule preparation.
AGA Senior Director of Strategic Communications and Responsibility Cait DeBaun said: “G2E always brings the gaming industry together to learn, share innovation, and conduct business that will chart the future of gaming.
“While we all wish we could be together in Las Vegas, we’re excited to bring some of the G2E experience to attendees and exhibitors all over the world.”
The two-day programme will bring together opinion leaders to share insights on topical issues including recovery from COVID-19, modernisation of payments, tribal gaming, what’s next for legalised sports betting in America, and more. The virtual platform of G2E will also allow exhibitors and buyers to conduct business through virtual showrooms, product displays, AI-driven matchmaking, and one-on-one meetings.
G2E Event Director Korbi Carrison said: “As the industry continues to navigate reopening, G2E’s virtual offering will reconvene the G2E community to advance our collective recovery.
“This platform allows us to bring the G2E experience directly to attendees wherever they are, providing access to education, and enabling the connections that make the in-person event special.”
Global travel constraints and unknowns around the permissibility of large public events this fall stopped the conventional, in-person event at the Sands Expo & Convention Center from taking place as planned for 5-8 October 2020.
Keynotes and programming on education will be revealed in the weeks to come.
