The 888poker subsidiary of 888 has announced that it will continue to partner closely with the World Series of Poker, with the cardroom hosting three series with WPTDeepStacks for customers on the European and global networks.
WPTDS London Online (ROW), WPTDS Iberia Online (Portugal and Spain), and WPTDS Italy Online (Italian network) are the three events that will offer players the chance to compete against their respective networks for prizes and a WPTDeepStacks crown.
The tournaments will be the first time that 888poker’s three networks will participate together in a major series, with ambassadors and WPT winners Chris Moorman and Dominik Nitsche expected to compete alongside the entity’s entire network of pros.
Exciting multi-network series
Guy Cohen, 888 SVP and head of B2C said: “We are delighted to partner with WPTDeepStacks to bring an exciting multi-network series to 888poker players this spring.
“These events provide poker players in global markets a great chance to experience the exclusive and prestigious WPTDS’ events online.
“As part of our ‘Made to Play’ approach, players will enjoy the experience of playing our best in class product along with affordable buy-in’s and big guarantees to enjoy the highest level of online poker offering.”
Both three series will take place from April 18 to 26, with a combined prize pool of more than $3 million pledged. Players will bid for over $2 million in prizes at WPTDS London Online (including a guaranteed $1 million main event), while WPTDS Iberia Online and WPTDS Italy Online will deliver prizes of €400,000 and €350,000, respectively. Each network will host 16 events, with a WPTDeepStacks trophy going to each of the 48 winners.
