WarHorse Gaming LLC, a new division to oversee and run the expansion of casino gaming at three existing horse racing tracks in the state of Nebraska, has been founded by Native American casino operator Ho-Chunk Inc.
WarHorse Gaming LLC is in the process of developing proposals to establish casino gaming on the approved horse racing tracks in Omaha, Lincoln and South Sioux City in collaboration with the Nebraska Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association.
At Horsemen’s Park in Omaha, Lincoln Racecourse in Lincoln, and Atokad in South Sioux City, WarHorse Gaming LLC will be in charge of general gaming operations. The HBPA of Nebraska will continue to supervise all horse racing at the tracks.
The two organisations are in the early planning stages of developing a practical timetable to expand casino operations on the horse racing tracks, according to a statement from Ho-Chunk.
During the latter half of 2021, WarHorse management anticipates expanded gaming in some form, with complete casino operations up and running during 2022. Further information about the timetable, plans and what to expect next was given by management at a later date.
In addition, Ho-Chunk Inc has announced the naming of Brian Chamberlain as the new division’s Executive Director, and that Blue Earth Marketing’s subsidiary will serve as the record agency for all three casinos.
